LaFemmeDaBelle + Random

Okay I know I shouldn't be neglecting my blog =P

First of all, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all customers for their overwhelming support in our latest Work & Play III Launch! All manufactured/non-manufactured items are sold out within the first 3 days of launch and I am very much surprised by this. Initially, I had thought that the sales might not be that good because the quality of the photos looked really bad and boy did not have any special likings to the manufactured items this time round, hence I thought it was a gone-case. But far from what I expected, it was the complete opposite! To a point that many many customers are requesting for backorders and I have to reject them because manufacturer's schedule is too full to be able to do backorders for me. :( But still, many thanks to those who supported and managed to get the items for themselves! :)

I felt really happy too, and so I decided to give myself a little treat. Have booked Louis for my hair coloring  this coming Saturday! :) Deciding on what colors now..

Anyway, boy wrote this in his private blog post which I thought was quite entertaining:

Communication is Key

Cold call from an insurance agent:
Agent: Good morning Sir. I’m calling from xxx to offer you financial advice. We have a new range or products and service to offer and I would like to extend this offer to you. When would be a convenient time for us to arrange a meeting?
Me: If you can answer my question, next week. If not, then never.
Agent: I may not have all the answers with me right now.
Me: Its insurance related so u should be familiar.
Agent: Okie. What’s your question?
Me: According to MAS, what was the gross premiums collected from health insurance in the last quarter of 2010?
Agent: *long pause*
Me: Thank you for calling me. Bye. *click*
Office lady buying breakfast at Mr Bean
Sales Girl: Good morning miss. What you want?
Lady: Can I have 2 cheese and 1 hot soya… Take away!
Job offer from random company:
HR: Good morning Mr xxx. I’m calling from xxx. Are you still looking for employment opportunity?
Me: No.
HR: We have a job opening in xxx department and we would like to invite you to come down for an interview. Would you be available this Friday?
Me: No.
HR: How about next week Monday?
Me: No.
HR: Which day is more convenient for you then?
Me: No.
HR: Sorry?
Me: I’m answering your first question.
HR: *pause*

Me: *pause*
HR: Sorry?
Me: It’s ok. I understand. You have a nice day. Bye. *click*.

LOL! I love the way he wrote down such stuffs. :)

All Sold! :)

Weekly Affairs

It's another weekly affair with boy! Sorry for the short break away from updating my blog as I have been real busy, haven't been replying Formspring regularly too and hence missed out on some questions regarding backorders. So sorry!

Anyway, I stayed over on boy's place on one of the weekdays because I am rushing for a short report regarding my findings for FYP and need his help to teach me how to draw graphs using Excel. -.- Noob right? He asked me how did I ever become an engineer without knowing the basics of drawing graphs using Excel. I answered him I never wanted to. Lol!

Boy checking his email first before I can use his laptop!

So while he was sleeping as he needs to work the next day, I was at his laptop with the table lamp on and trying to get the graphs right. At the same time, I drank my Red Bull to keep myself awake. It was 4am in the morning before I finally hit the sack after I completed my last graph and came up with some conclusions. Slept until 9am in the morning and made my way out of his place after that to meet Selina for her purchases and then down to manufacturer for sample viewing. The sample I had viewed was gorgeous, the piece that I have been most satisfied with so far. Even Joanne was telling me she loves this dress and is intending to wear it to Thailand! So mad excited about sharing the photos :)

Bad news was that there might be a slight delay in our next next launch as Joanne's schedule is currently fully booked till end April.. which means I might have to find other alternatives to bring in apparels so that our customers do not have to wait that for our next launch. Will see what I can do then!

Weekly affair with boy on saturday was at Suntec Convention Centre. For? Purchasing of my first ever DSLR Camera! Canon EOS 550D! Mad mad excited after buying it at quite a reasonable price. Total $1678 for additional 2 years warranty and upgrade lenses to 105mm! Comes with tripod, 2 8GB memory card, 1 card reader, 1 dry cabinet, 1 Canon bag, 1 LCD screen protector as well as free manuals! I think it sounds like a good deal? As there was quite a number of things to carry, we had to head back home instead of walking around. Before that, we had our dinner at Carl's Junior. My first time eating at Carl's Junior, the serving was really big. In fact it was too much for me I couldn't finish it! I prefer Macdonald's though :)

Finally digged something colorful out of my wardrobe to wear!

While waiting for him to buy us our food..Women's nature take its course!

The really huge burger!

Boy did all the checking and arranging of the stuffs for me. He is a very very meticulous and organised person. Imagine someone who keeps tallying the time on his blackberry to the time on his watch to make sure that every second matches. Just imagine!

A very happy me :) Had a pimple breakout though!
Our loots!

 My messy place!

Sunday was as usual, tuition at tutees' place. After which, brother came to fetch me and off we went to Spring Court at Far East Square for pre-birthday celebration for Mummy. The ambience and food there was really good I think. Didn't manage to take photos because my family members are camera shy. Lol!

Mummy and Daddy! I love them.

Headed down to Cityhall to meet boy again. Went to the arcade to play guitar heroes and drum heroes until we sort of got addicted to it. Haha! Our movie was at 9.30pm and so we had a long period of time before the show starts. Walked around and I bought him a watch as well as one for my mum. Our dinner was settled at Pho Hoa, my favorite Vietnamese place at Suntec City! Ordered a super big Chicken Pho and it was really delicious. A must try delicacy! :)

The watch i bought him!
There! My super big bowl of Chicken Pho, and his Grilled Chicken Rice!
I looked like I am grumpy?

After a hearty dinner, it was dessert time. Boy had cravings for snow ice flakes and so we went to this newly opened small shop at esplanade link - Sweet Sweet Tooth.

The chocolate snow shavings we ordered! It was great but the mango one would have tasted much better :)

It was home sweet home after our movie ended at 11.30pm. Did some last minute checks on the Lafemmedabelle launch and then off to bed!

Photoshoot with Zoe!

It's another fortnightly thingy with Zoe - Photoshoot! :) Photoshoots have been much more frequent now as compared to previously, which means lesser time for school work! Piles and piles of work stacking up.

I was on my way to the studio when someone tapped me on my shoulders real hard and I got a scare. It was Zoe. Initially the first thought that went to my mind was "Oh my.. how am I going to talk to her?" Because the previous shoots we work on together we had like less than 10 lines of conversation each time we meet? Surprisingly, this time round was much much much better. We had a good chat over photoshoots, her work, my boy etc. Everything under the sun and I was quite surprised too! The whole feeling was so much different from the previous ones I have had. Weird! But still, this was one of the most enjoyable shoots I have had.

The quality of the studio shoot was quite bad this time round. The skin color looks too pale and some of the items are not true to the real color at all. Then I decided to go back to Hendra's studio for my next shoot onwards. Pay a little more to get better quality, why not?

Preview! :)

People in formspring have been asking about the better deal regarding nail extensions. Shall share it with you girls here :)

It's The Nail Pageant at Dhoby Exchange. They are currently having a 50% promotion for all gel nails. Their gel nails costs $100 - $120 normal price so after the promotion, it will only cost $50! To add on glitters, it will cost an additional $10 :)) Mad worth it!

Weekend dates & Meeting with Joanne!

It's once in a week weekend dates with boy again! So excited whenever it's Thursday or Fridays because that would mean one or two more days to seeing boy! :)

Friday was spent having a nice dinner and a nice movie at The Cathay. Dinner was great. We had the premium dinner set at $23.90+ each for the both of us and the food was good. My treat to dear because I am in a good mood. Haha!

Chrysanthemum Dory Fish with Tar Tar Sauce!

Boy told me that all his photos looked ugly so I told him to pose something nicer. And this was his best pose.

Then he took my phone away and began snapping away, at himself!

The candid one which he took of me. Hahaha my typical face!

Saturday was spent first at Joanne's office, where I paid for and collect my goods for my next collection. I managed to see the sample piece of the latest design I had submitted and was very satisfied with it. It's a top this time round, quite a unique one me think! Gonna manufacture it in white, navy and dusty pink if Joanne managed to find the color I want overseas. So excited to see it in all these colors. Want a little preview? Here you go!

The design which I submitted to Joanne, omitting the prints.

 Back view

The second design which I showed her on the day I met her! Tube dress to be made of spandex, with the length shorter! :)

I know my drawing sucks LOL

Close-up

Had a good time gossiping with Joanne over something. At least someone to share the same sentiments as me! Headed down SingPost right after to mail out all the parcels. The third batch!

The third batch of parcels to be mailed out

Boy!

Then we headed down to Junction 8 to purchase office wear at G2000 since boy has got a $50 off using his card. Spent a bomb there and I must say office wear is soooo muchhhh expensive! :(

I got myself 2 pieces of tops, one formal and one casual while boy had 3 formal tops which I thought was nice.

Paying for the items

$50 off yay!

Went back his house right after cuz I am way too tired. Lack of sleep!

While on the way back, I wanted to throw my lenses away because it's getting very dry and I had no solution with me. So boy suggested that I took one lens out and leave the other one on. Looks really ridiculous and he told me it was a huge difference with and without lenses!

Pardon my red face. I have no idea why it turns out so red in the photos!

The huge difference!

Threw away my lenses after that. I had just ordered the brown one and waiting for its arrival 1st week of April! :)

Photoshoot tomorrow so shall turn in early tonight, and wake up early tomorrow to study for another upcoming quiz!
