Phuket Day 2 ♥

Phuket Day 2 was spent at Phi Phi Island, Maya Bay and Khai Island. As mentioned in my previous blog post, we had the full day trip via speed boat. Speed boat takes approximately 1.5 hours to reach there, while the big boats took 3 hours to reach. But of course, you got to pay a price for taking half the time required to reach there.

Boy and I got up at 6am to have our buffet breakfast at the Andaman Cafe. There was quite a spread of food, but only a few interest me though. Nothing can beat having freshly cooked omelets, I always will have this whenever I am having breakkie at hotels. And the fruits they have at Thailand are so fresh and sweet, especially the watermelons and pineapples! And did I mention that for every meal you have at restaurants, they will always serve you fresh fruits at the end of the meal? Such nice service right?

The porridge is good too! OOps to the foggy camera!

Phuket Day 1 ♥

Hey! I just landed in SG 19 hours ago and after a whole day of rest to make up for my loss of sleeping time over at Phuket, I am back here to blog about my entire trip - from Day 1 all the way to Day 4! Heavy photos ahead! Sorry if the photos looked a little grainy. I am too lazy to resize it so I just upload it here and size it from here, which explains the graininess! This post is very long so I have put up a hyperlink at the end of this post for you to continue reading.

Boy just managed to upload the photos to his laptop and there was over 1000 photos taken! Mad lots I have to spend quite some time looking through it. Loads of memories and I am starting to miss it there. :(

So on Day 1 itself, our flight is at 0820 in the morning and I had to get up by 5am and then cabbed down with boy to Changi airport at 0615. Not feeling much of an enthusiasm that morning though, maybe because I am so afraid of taking airplanes. I have this phobia because I feel that I do not have any control over my life anymore and anything can happen. I even cried when the plane was on high speed at the runway and about to take off! Come to think of it I felt so stupid. Lol.

Waiting to board  the plane!
Above the clouds and boy filling up the immigration form to Thailand
 After crying. LOL.

Getting all excited!

I am getting so excited about this Friday's trip to Phuket. I am not sure about boy though, I think he is more stressed up over his work that he left all the plannings to me. Honestly, 4d3n is a little too short to cover Phi Phi Island, Phang Nga Bay and Phuket Town. A little too rush, and I hate rushing. I would rather cover lesser places but spend quality time and enough rest at one place.

Anyway, I received a big parcel at my doorstep today via the delivery man. Got so happy when I took over the parcel and guess what, the clutches have arrived! Tore open the package immediately and I am really satisfied with the material and quality of the product. Made of PU. Fab! Love the design and I went out today to the doctor carrying this clutch! I chose the pink one =D So me right?

Pardon my huge arms!

Will be wearing this maxi (unreleased) to the trip too. Beach feel!

Totally can't wait to snorkel with the fishes! :)

On a side note, I dont know what I have been doing but I have not started job-hunting. Oh my.. and my mum is starting to nag at me already. Okay I promise to do so the moment I am back, and start sending out resumes one by one. Now I know how long it takes to apply to just one company, and it is not as easy as just clicking the 'Send' icon.

You might end up with one whole day just applying for that one company.

NTU I Gave

So apparently this tele-marketeer from NTU called me for the 2nd time regarding a small donation to the school as we are graduating.

Tele-marketeer: Hi Ms Koh, this is calling from NTU. I am actually calling to ask if you are interested in doing a small part for the school, by contributing to I Gave. So by contributing you will get a free tee shirt and a badge. We are actually not interested in the amount of money gave, but more on the gesture. With this amount of money, we can actually help the poorer students and have more companies to partner with NTU to make it a better university. Yes so would you like to do a part too?

(I wasn't even given a chance to interrupt her because she was talking non-stop)

Me: No I don't think so.

Tele-marketeer: What about a small amount like say $10?

Me: Sorry no. I don't really feel attached to the school. Actually I am quite poor, why not you provide me a part of the money collected from I Gave since you mentioned it is for poorer students?

Tele-marketeer: (Long pause) Erm we can feedback this to the school.

Me: Okay please make sure you do. Do you need my matriculation number?

Tele-marketeer: Er no need I have your handphone number.

Me: Good. That's all. Bye.

I dont know what got over me to have this stupid conversation with this person. I guess it could be because I had so much hatred for this school.

Now I am not even sure if I am able to graduate. ˆ&%ˆ*&#*(ˆ&*(#&(

Say goodbye to extensions and hi to dates!

Finally I had my extensions removed at a nail salon - The Nails Pageant at Dhoby Exchange while waiting for boy to finish work one fine day. The rates are not cheap and the service sucks more. The lady looked like she's in a rush, and she seemed very reluctant to do it for me when I arrived at 5.45pm. She kept looking at the clock and asked me if I had to do it now. Then she finally agreed to do but throughout the whole 20 minutes that she was filing the extensions away, 80% of the time she was glancing at her watch. And she filed till my nails were too thin and the real nails started to chip off because it was way too thin. She then insisted that that this is supposed to be the way it is and left the chipped part hanging there, without even trying to remove it for me until I had to request that I want it to be removed. Last but not least, my real nails are in an uneven shape and she did nothing about it. I went back home and put some nail polish on and realised that the extensions were not removed properly. There were still some parts that are uneven and you can see faint bits of extensions still left. Never ever will patronize that shop again.

Nail length is still short, but much better compared to my previous unsightly bitten nails! :)

Enough of the unhappy stuffs. So I met up with boy yesterday since he asked me out. And 75% of the time he was grumbling away on his work, work and nothing but work. So imagine him grumbling non-stop and showing me a data sheet about some figures, trades, equities, price ratio, future value bla bla bla. Well I know nothing next to all these but after he briefly mentioned it I think I got a little idea.

Deep in thought...

As he was talking on, I am busy snapping photos away. LOL.

We had Korean food at Wilkie Edge!

Still grumbling on.

Wee!

On a side note, I am bringing in the clutches to test the market! :) Quantity not big though but shall see the response first!

Random Musings

Hey hi, and I am still in the midst of examination, with the last paper to go this Thursday. And hopefully, this will be the last paper in my whole academic life. I can't wait for it to happen!

This is what you get if you stayed up till 3am to study.

My last paper on Net Shape Manufacturing, not easy though!

Had a little problems here and there regarding manufacturing.. wholesale stocks etc. Quite a big problem though and if I don't find a solution to solve it, then basically I'll have to do what many people are already doing which I find it quite useless. I will still try my best though!

Anyway, I am thinking of bringing this in.. Clutches! What do you think? Please give some opinions on it. I love it the moment I saw it but the only thing is it is not cheap, and I am unsure if customers will like it. It might look small here but it actually is slightly bigger than an A4 size! So no worries about putting your barangs barangs as well as a file in it! :)

Thinking of bringing it in 4 colors - Pink, Apricot, Brown as well as Mint.

Pretty right! :)

Some things I don't say.

Many a times, I'll bring you along whether or not you are invited.
