Genting Highlands Trip 2

I just came back from the Genting Highlands trip 2 days ago. I must honestly say that it wasn't as fun compared to the previous trip we had about 1 year ago? Firstly, the weather there was a big problem and it really killed our mood. It was raining when our coach first reached there, leaving the poor 8 of us to buy only the indoor ticket, having the indoor bumper rides which we kept targeting Hsien Meng, the Euro Express which we felt was no kick as compared to the outdoor Cork Screw, the 4D Motion Master which we queued for 1 hour and in the end left a few of us feeling dizzy and the all so boring ferris wheel. All these indoor rides ended in just 2.5 hours and after which we decided that we shall have a great dinner to save the day - Hot Pot. It was shiok to have hot pot at such a place and I was surprised that I did not even sweat at all! Just that my face and hair got very oily because of the grill. The variety of the food wasn't great but the soup was pretty nice! After which, we proceed to the Glitz Show! It was not very fantastic to me because I am not a fan of sand works or acrobats and magic, and to make things worse, I couldn't force open my eyes throughout the whole show because I was way too tired - lack of sleep from the previous night at Seok's place!

I can't really remember what we did after that because all I recalled during our first day of the trip was the bad rain. Anyway, our second day was a little better, although not a sunny day. We managed to catch quite a few rides for the outdoor theme park and like what Wee Jia quoted - "Even though it was just a few rides, I felt much better". The weather turned for the worse in the afternoon then subsequently continued throughout the day. The rain and fog just wouldn't go away and some of us were a little disheartened by it. Nevertheless, we still managed to catch 5 cock screw rides, 2 space shot rides (which I very reluctantly gave in after much persuasion by Fumin and Weejia the very insistent ones, but am very proud of myself that I managed to conquer it. Only Fumin, Weejia, Krystal and me managed to get our butts up that scary ride), 2 swing rides, 1 pirate ship ride and 1 kiddies ride. Even up till now, I still can't believe that I managed to conquer the space shot. Honestly speaking, the 2nd time that I went up was the exact feeling I had 1 year ago when I had that ride. It was this feeling that left me shuddering even after 1 year later. That tinge of helplessness and total regret was exactly how I felt when I was up there. Never never try this if you are faint-hearted, especially when there is no fog and you can see the whole scenery clearly. Imagine being so way high up that you can see the whole landscape of Genting Highlands and the mountain tips over the cloud, CLEARLY.

Anyway, after the rides, we went for dinner and then parted into 2 groups - the Casino group and the Arcade group. Needless to say, weejia, fumin and me belongs to the Casino group while the others Arcade. We were very sad that we managed to walk into the casino a few times but the security guards did not check us, because that could mean that we had looked older than before. Ok back to the casino, weejia and I had initially decided on playing the Big-Small at the tables, then Fumin somehow got influenced and decided to join us at the tables as well. There was this very stupid incident - We were at this table and the minimum bet was RM20, so all 3 of us chip in RM100 to exchange for the chips at the table. Weejia handed over the money to me and I proceed to exchange it for chips. I went over to the lady at the table and told her, "Five 20 chips". For 3 seconds, she stared at me and then answered, "There's no 20. Minimum chip is 25." It was so damn embarrassing because there were other gamblers around at the table! We then had this strategy that we shall bet on both the small and big but with different number of chips, but in the end we lost everything. Everything we bet on we lost it. How bad luck right? Come to think of it, I seriously think what Fumin said was true, "Whenever she gambles, she will lose". Should have just bet on all the opposites that Fumin says! :(

To end our last night, we had an Indian Poker game at my room. The loser will have to play truth or dare, questions all set by all of us. It was quite fun but there was some unhappiness towards the end, almost leading to a quarrel. But up till now, that specific remark still lingers in my head. Saddening to hear this, really.

Somehow or rather after this trip, I came to realise a lot of things. That true friends might not be true and that your care and willingness to share does not necessary reciprocate. Well, so I had been wrong about my perception of true friends all along. I have eyes to see the small little incidents, and I have a heart to feel. I can sense it. So the verdict - I do not have a true friend. A true true friend. How pathetic, isn't it?

Casting all the unhappiness aside, I met up with dear yesterday down to PL to exchange for some defected items as well as purchasing some more stocks. We then headed down to The Cathay to catch the movie - SAW VII. My opinions - it was way too scary, a lot of horrifying scenes that left me using dear's hands to cover my eyes and with me screaming for more than half the movie until a point whereby he had to cover my mouth up. But still, I would give it a rating of 9/10 if you really want to have a good scare spending 3/4 of the time watching how the saw was cut into the stomach, how the small hollow steel pipings were forcefully pushed into the gaping mouth and opened eyes, and how the pipings were being drilled into the left and right parts of the neck as well as the brain.

Outfit of the day: LFDB Cross-Front Dress in Navy
Love the crossed details at the front! Immediately fell in love with it and kept a piece for myself.

We had dinner at this Thai restaurant at Sunshine Plaza and the food was great! A very good recommendation by dear, especially the green curry! We ordered a plate of hotplate tofu too but he ate all the tofus, leaving only the veggies for me. That's how great my boyfriend is. The Kang Kong with garlic was also delicious! The bill came up to about $26 for both of us so it's real affordable. A must try and I will surely pester him to bring me there again! :)

As we were walking on the streets, the boy had this urge to cut his toe nails. In order to satisfy his urge, he took out his nail cutter (which he always had in his pocket) and started to trim his toe nails... in town.

The boy trimming his nails in the middle of town!
The boy paid for all the expenses for our date yesterday and I was really grateful. He spent 2 days into the wee hours of the night while I was happily away on my trip writing the VBA program he created for LFDB so that it will make my invoicing and tracking easier, even though he was tired after a day's work. I saw the codes he wrote and was very much impressed that every single code was written by him. Thank you, really thank you boy.
