Bangkok Day 3 was spent at Chinatown. It's a really old estate and you can see very run-down shophouses there. We started off the day by making a trip down to Romeo & Juliet for boy's first fitting!
Fitting in progress!
Boy prefers to be more shapely so there needs to be two sewn slits at the back.
And him doing the typical blogshop model poses lol! He's always making fun of it.
The tailor for the suit arrived just in time!
And this Nepalese-mixed guy is the sales guy whom we liased with! I forgot his name though.
Lol I don't know what's with this photo!
Some samples of the cotton fabric they have.
Then we headed down to Chinatown, via cab! Vaguely I remembered there used to be a lot of roadside stalls selling bird's nest, but sadly there isn't any single roadside stall that sells bird's nest anymore! :(
There we are, Chinatown Bangkok! :)
Sandbags as a preventive measure!
There's loads of roadside stalls selling food! Most importantly, the food there is really cheap and you can get one big packet of snacks for like only less than SGD2!
Freshly made lime juice!
This fried wanton costs only SGD1.50 for one big packet!
Damn unglam I know!
Now this is super nice - bbq pork! Super great taste and it's very nicely marinated! We bought 10 sticks for only SGD2!
Enough of food, shopping time! Chinatown's a place where you can really get great deals, if you are patient enough to find. There can be denim shorts (from Size 23 to Size 36) selling at only SGD2 so imagine!
Looking around for fabric to buy and ask my mum to make dresses for me! :)
Got a little hungry after all the walking and so we stopped by a roadside stall for some food. There wasn't any menu and the wordings on the stall are in Thai so boy and I were quite unsure of what to order. We only managed to order when I pointed to someone else's fishball noodles. Lol!
It might look like just a normal bowl of fishball noodles, but it's quite delicious! Especially for less than $2!
Got too tired from all the walking and we decided to head back to our hotel for some rest before we chiong the night market again! :)
Yippee!
Super spicy Tom Yam soup! I only managed to drink one quarter of it :(
The first fitting was done in the morning, and at night they are all ready to be picked up.
Awesome right?
3 of the 7 shirts boy made. I think the thing about shirts for guys now is the inner collar and sleeve design right? Boy and I chose the design ourselves :)
Just half of what boy tailor made. I was too lazy to bring them all out and place it nicely lol.
While I was cam-whoring and trying to squeeze my buyings into my bag, there he is trying on just in case there is any last minute alterations then there's still time!
Totally unglam lol!
Goodnight sleep after that! :)
