Phuket Day 3 was spent at Phang Nga Bay, north of Phuket island. As with the previous Phi Phi trip, boy and I woke up early for our breakkie and then off we went to take a boat to Phang Nga Bay. Boy and I were really surprised when this there are only 10 people onboard for this trip. It felt like a private affair really. We love it so much because I hate crowds.
Here's our tour guide explaining to us the places we will be visiting!
Nice guy!
See the french couple by the left hand side? I'll fill you guys in on more details about something funny this french guy has done. Lol.
Boy!
Enjoying the sea breeze during the 1 hour journey! :)
And then we reached the first island at Phang Nga Bay - Panak island. There we had sea canoe! Of course we have a guy who canoed us into the caves.
Mad excited about exploring the caves!
Saree is the man in charge of canoeing us in the caves. He's such a nice nice guy that boy and I had so many praises for him and even tipped him quite generously! :)
Saree!
Inside the cave
And look at where the end of the caves eventually leads to? A mangrove cave! It really is like what I have learnt in Chinese literature before - 世外桃源. A really really beautiful sight that led boy and I went wild. Trust me, pictures don't do justice. You have to be there yourself to see and experience that somewhere in this world, these natural beauty lies within.
Mangrove Cave!
I totally looked like a retard in some of the photos. Lol!
Saree made a rose for us using the plants in the mangrove cave. I still kept it with me now :)
Next, we proceeded to Hong Island, and there again sea canoe into the caves! I love the canoe so much, especially when we do not have to canoe ourselves. LoL.
Wee!
On the way by sea canoe into the caves, we met into a fisherman and here's his catch. A crab! According to them, this is a "Ward-shoe" crab. Pardon the spelling as I do not know the exact name for it.
Such unique species of crab!
Then we had our buffet dinner onboard. So much for only 10 people!
Our next destination is the long-awaited James Bond Island! Why is it called James Bond Island? This is because James Bond actually came over here to film some movie before. Hence it became famous and was named after it. There is an iconic structure in this James Bond Island - which is this inverted bottle-like rock.
And remember I told you earlier in this post to take note of the french guy as I will be filling you in on more details on a funny stuff which he did? Here, please take a look at the photo below - which he kindly helped us take. Notice something wrong? The famous iconic structure of James Bond Island was cut into half. Lol! Imagine a couple taking a photo at Singapore's Merlion structure and the Merlion's head is cut off in the photo. I kept laughing non-stop after that.
Last stop, out boat stopped at a private island where we have our free and easy activities, swimming, canoeing etc. Boy headed for a jump into the sea!
Then we canoed ourselves over to the private beach.
Got really tired at the end of the day and so decided to sleep. Pardon my unsightly pose! LOL!
Headed back to our hotel to freshen ourselves up before heading to Patong Night Market again for dinner. We went to another unexplored lane and found this Korean Restaurant. We had the BBQ pork set which costs 800 Baht (SGD34). Not cheap!
The side dishes were okay only but the bbq pork was great. If only this is buffet....
The last highlight of the day - Smoking Seesha! The seesha there is really cheap - 150 Baht (SGD6.50). We had the apple flavor and ordered some snacks while relaxing there.
The night ended with a good night rest back at our hotel. :)
I will continue blogging about the last day at Phuket soon! Though we didnt really do much!
