Phuket Day 2 was spent at Phi Phi Island, Maya Bay and Khai Island. As mentioned in my previous blog post, we had the full day trip via speed boat. Speed boat takes approximately 1.5 hours to reach there, while the big boats took 3 hours to reach. But of course, you got to pay a price for taking half the time required to reach there.
Boy and I got up at 6am to have our buffet breakfast at the Andaman Cafe. There was quite a spread of food, but only a few interest me though. Nothing can beat having freshly cooked omelets, I always will have this whenever I am having breakkie at hotels. And the fruits they have at Thailand are so fresh and sweet, especially the watermelons and pineapples! And did I mention that for every meal you have at restaurants, they will always serve you fresh fruits at the end of the meal? Such nice service right?

Off we go to Phi Phi Island! Our driver picked us up at 8am and it took 45 minutes to reach the pier. Boy and I rent flippers because we were afraid of being stung by sea urchins. Better be safe than sorry. :)

And then we reached Phi Phi Ley, where we explore the sandy beaches of Maya Bay. The sea water there is crystal clear and the scenery is such a beauty.

Then the main highlight of the day - Snorkelling! So sorry I forgot the exact location where we had our snorkelling, lol. Am quite a klutz when it comes to water activities.

Last stop was relaxing at Khai Island. To relax on their beach chairs and under the umbrellas, you got to rent them for 150Baht (SGD6.25). This island is beautiful! Free and easy activities such as snorkelling or swimming can be done here. :)

The trip ended at 1600pm and we were on our way back to Phuket Island. I must say if not for the sun, I would have love this trip. But the weather was way too hot that my temper was quite bad too. :( And one thing I have to conclude, I did not really enjoy snorkelling as much as I have thought. Maybe because I just cannot control my movements in water. Boy enjoyed himself a lot though!
Back to hotel to freshen ourselves up before heading for night activities at the Patong Night Market!

Settled our dinner at 99 Thai Restaurant
Food was alright only as compared to Nong Nan Thai Restaurant on Phuket Day 1. Bill was slightly more expensive too. Then off we went to explore more of Jung Ceylon Shopping Complex. The night life was so bustling!
Got quite tired from the whole day and so pestered boy for some more foot massage. Chose this massage parlor near our hotel. The service was good but the skills were not really there though.

Grab some food before heading back to our hotel for another day of early rest as the next day is also another island trip! This time round to Phang Nga Bay :)
Boy had banana + coconut crepe while I had egg + cheese crepe. Banana + Coconut Crepe costs 45 Baht (SGD1.80) while Egg + Cheese Crepe costs 55 Baht (SGD2.30). His one was really delicious! Anyway, the lady of this roadside stall looks quite cute that boy and I kept talking about her. Lol!
