Response for model search was great, so much so that it went beyond what I had estimated! Much thanks to all the lovely ladies who are interested to be part of us!

Getting the jitters right now because I admit I am not exactly a social butterfly, but nevertheless I am so looking forward to meeting them for the photoshoot next Sunday! :)

Want to know how I feel now at this very moment?

I wish I got run down by a car, dead.

So tired of life, God I wish you bring me back.

Sushi Post!

One fine day, I received a sms from the boy that says, "Anyway I was thinking, will you learn how to cook and do housework?" Then it left me pondering for a while and I thought, "Well, I knew how to do, it's just that I am lazy." One thing I will never do is to mop the floor. I have never mopped the floor once in my entire life because I find the sight of the murky water disgusting. Imagine the shit coming from the cockroaches, lizards all in that pool of water.

A few days after this sms from him, I thought of whipping something up for him to prove that I can cook! Since I have always wanted to make sushi, so why not make use of this chance? I headed down to the NTUC market and bought all the necessary stuffs under the Japanese section. Then I started the sushi-making right after I reached home.

I have no idea how much water to put for the calrose rice, especially when my mum just bought a new rice cooker so I roughly estimate the amount of water. The rice came out just nice, not too hard. :) After which, I added in 3.5 spoonfuls of the seasoned vinegar and really, the rice tasted much better with the vinegar! Ingredients were prepared while waiting for the rice to be cooked so rolling starts! I think the hardest part in sushi-making is to roll it nice and tight without any ingredients or rice falling out when it is being cut. I spent like 2 hours cooking the ingredients, rice, rolling and cleaning up! All for that 9 rolls of sushi I made. But still, I felt happy and satisfied with my first time result.

Gave the boy a container of sushi to bring back home and he gave me his professional comments - Good Job! So happy to hear that.

Pictures time!

The rice that came out just nice :)
Ingredients
The final result! (Of course there are more sushi than just this, the others are put in another container) :)

Did I mention before that the boy has a weird habit of sanitizing every corner of his room with alcohol? And that he always had me to sanitize my feet with alcohol first before I am allowed to step my foot on his bed. Now another weird habit here is his insistence on aligning his clothes in his wardrobe properly. A very very specific distance away from each other for each of his shirts and pants.

There you see the hangers at a very specific distance away from each other. And he wouldn't allow me to touch them.

All folded in the same way and categorize accordingly to the material of the shirt and the occasion to wear the shirt.
I told him that he has some kind of psychological problem but he said that I am the one who suffers from that instead. Duh.

Anyway, boy's away for a leadership training program for 2 days in Malaysia so I have no one to disturb!! Sian. Eagerly doing up the launch for tomorrow's CNY Special collection. This time round with a new model who's tall. 1.68m! I got a shock when she told me she's 1.68m.

Genting Highlands Trip 2

I just came back from the Genting Highlands trip 2 days ago. I must honestly say that it wasn't as fun compared to the previous trip we had about 1 year ago? Firstly, the weather there was a big problem and it really killed our mood. It was raining when our coach first reached there, leaving the poor 8 of us to buy only the indoor ticket, having the indoor bumper rides which we kept targeting Hsien Meng, the Euro Express which we felt was no kick as compared to the outdoor Cork Screw, the 4D Motion Master which we queued for 1 hour and in the end left a few of us feeling dizzy and the all so boring ferris wheel. All these indoor rides ended in just 2.5 hours and after which we decided that we shall have a great dinner to save the day - Hot Pot. It was shiok to have hot pot at such a place and I was surprised that I did not even sweat at all! Just that my face and hair got very oily because of the grill. The variety of the food wasn't great but the soup was pretty nice! After which, we proceed to the Glitz Show! It was not very fantastic to me because I am not a fan of sand works or acrobats and magic, and to make things worse, I couldn't force open my eyes throughout the whole show because I was way too tired - lack of sleep from the previous night at Seok's place!

I can't really remember what we did after that because all I recalled during our first day of the trip was the bad rain. Anyway, our second day was a little better, although not a sunny day. We managed to catch quite a few rides for the outdoor theme park and like what Wee Jia quoted - "Even though it was just a few rides, I felt much better". The weather turned for the worse in the afternoon then subsequently continued throughout the day. The rain and fog just wouldn't go away and some of us were a little disheartened by it. Nevertheless, we still managed to catch 5 cock screw rides, 2 space shot rides (which I very reluctantly gave in after much persuasion by Fumin and Weejia the very insistent ones, but am very proud of myself that I managed to conquer it. Only Fumin, Weejia, Krystal and me managed to get our butts up that scary ride), 2 swing rides, 1 pirate ship ride and 1 kiddies ride. Even up till now, I still can't believe that I managed to conquer the space shot. Honestly speaking, the 2nd time that I went up was the exact feeling I had 1 year ago when I had that ride. It was this feeling that left me shuddering even after 1 year later. That tinge of helplessness and total regret was exactly how I felt when I was up there. Never never try this if you are faint-hearted, especially when there is no fog and you can see the whole scenery clearly. Imagine being so way high up that you can see the whole landscape of Genting Highlands and the mountain tips over the cloud, CLEARLY.

Anyway, after the rides, we went for dinner and then parted into 2 groups - the Casino group and the Arcade group. Needless to say, weejia, fumin and me belongs to the Casino group while the others Arcade. We were very sad that we managed to walk into the casino a few times but the security guards did not check us, because that could mean that we had looked older than before. Ok back to the casino, weejia and I had initially decided on playing the Big-Small at the tables, then Fumin somehow got influenced and decided to join us at the tables as well. There was this very stupid incident - We were at this table and the minimum bet was RM20, so all 3 of us chip in RM100 to exchange for the chips at the table. Weejia handed over the money to me and I proceed to exchange it for chips. I went over to the lady at the table and told her, "Five 20 chips". For 3 seconds, she stared at me and then answered, "There's no 20. Minimum chip is 25." It was so damn embarrassing because there were other gamblers around at the table! We then had this strategy that we shall bet on both the small and big but with different number of chips, but in the end we lost everything. Everything we bet on we lost it. How bad luck right? Come to think of it, I seriously think what Fumin said was true, "Whenever she gambles, she will lose". Should have just bet on all the opposites that Fumin says! :(

To end our last night, we had an Indian Poker game at my room. The loser will have to play truth or dare, questions all set by all of us. It was quite fun but there was some unhappiness towards the end, almost leading to a quarrel. But up till now, that specific remark still lingers in my head. Saddening to hear this, really.

Somehow or rather after this trip, I came to realise a lot of things. That true friends might not be true and that your care and willingness to share does not necessary reciprocate. Well, so I had been wrong about my perception of true friends all along. I have eyes to see the small little incidents, and I have a heart to feel. I can sense it. So the verdict - I do not have a true friend. A true true friend. How pathetic, isn't it?

Casting all the unhappiness aside, I met up with dear yesterday down to PL to exchange for some defected items as well as purchasing some more stocks. We then headed down to The Cathay to catch the movie - SAW VII. My opinions - it was way too scary, a lot of horrifying scenes that left me using dear's hands to cover my eyes and with me screaming for more than half the movie until a point whereby he had to cover my mouth up. But still, I would give it a rating of 9/10 if you really want to have a good scare spending 3/4 of the time watching how the saw was cut into the stomach, how the small hollow steel pipings were forcefully pushed into the gaping mouth and opened eyes, and how the pipings were being drilled into the left and right parts of the neck as well as the brain.

Outfit of the day: LFDB Cross-Front Dress in Navy
Love the crossed details at the front! Immediately fell in love with it and kept a piece for myself.

We had dinner at this Thai restaurant at Sunshine Plaza and the food was great! A very good recommendation by dear, especially the green curry! We ordered a plate of hotplate tofu too but he ate all the tofus, leaving only the veggies for me. That's how great my boyfriend is. The Kang Kong with garlic was also delicious! The bill came up to about $26 for both of us so it's real affordable. A must try and I will surely pester him to bring me there again! :)

As we were walking on the streets, the boy had this urge to cut his toe nails. In order to satisfy his urge, he took out his nail cutter (which he always had in his pocket) and started to trim his toe nails... in town.

The boy trimming his nails in the middle of town!
The boy paid for all the expenses for our date yesterday and I was really grateful. He spent 2 days into the wee hours of the night while I was happily away on my trip writing the VBA program he created for LFDB so that it will make my invoicing and tracking easier, even though he was tired after a day's work. I saw the codes he wrote and was very much impressed that every single code was written by him. Thank you, really thank you boy.

Start of the Year 2011

Another year has passed, and indeed time really flies. 22 years, going into my 23rd year and I still can't bring myself to believe that I am past 18 years old. Somehow I don't feel like I am a 23 year old adult.

My new year resolution is to lose weight. Yes every year I will make this my aim but every year instead of going down on the scale, I climb up the scale. :( Dear did a comparison of me last time and now, and I can really see a huge huge difference.. damn it. Really, I was not so fat then because I ate lesser, and I joined some Herbal Life programme and there is this nutritionist who will ask me to only eat 1 meal a day and drink their specially formulated nutritional shake for the other 2 meals. And surprisingly it really works. I managed to lose like 5 kg over 2 months which was really remarkable for me. Then I stopped the programme because that guy who is in charge of me kept wanting me to go back every week for reviews and the office is not very convenient for me to go. I find it a little irritating so being contented with my 5kg loss of weight, I stopped drinking the nutritional shake. Then I start frequenting Sakae and steamboats.. and a lot of junk food. This is how I landed myself into what I am today.

Another new year resolution is for my family to be safe and healthy. Nothing can be more important than that. I wish for my father to stay healthy and recover from his constant coughing, my mother's hand to be better as she is feeling numbness in her hand, as well as her business to prosper. And my brother, to drive safely please.

I have nothing to wish for myself, except that I will be able to land myself into a career with good prospects, and my business to prosper.

2010 has been a year full of misfortunes, which brought upon my family a lot of troubles. Bad luck, Shoo! Good luck in the year 2011!

At this moment, I had just finished doing quality check for all my apparels which I had just purchased wholesale. All designs carefully chosen by me. I asked around the whole complex on manufacturing of clothes, and the good news is, almost every shop does manufacturing of clothes, but the bad news is their minimum order quantity is 60 pcs per design (mix and match of colors and sizes!). 60! How to accept that large a quantity! But like what they said, it's exclusive to us only and that same design will not be sold elsewhere, unlike my manufacturer now, whom we had a one-month policy with. Perhaps I can consider this in future when I have reached my number 10,000 people in my mailing list, and an average of 200 deals per collection.

I suggested to dear about changing my current model now as she is too expensive for me to hire and my profit margin is low because of this. He agreed on it and even commented that the new model I found was not bad. Her first photoshoot will be on next Saturday! We shall see.

Dear also suggested setting up a home studio to save cost in the long run, which I agreed. We passed by Gain City and we enquired about the Nikon and Canon DSLR cameras. Canon E500 was an old model and was not for sale anymore. The latest model is E550, at a price of $1359! Plus the must-get flash at $229, a total of 1.6k! A little over our budget.

Will be heading down to the electronics fair at Suntec this either this Sunday or Monday to see if there are any good deals.

In another 1 day's time, we will be heading to Genting! Mad excited about it although it's going to be a really short trip. I hope Cyclone indoors and cockscrew outdoors is open! If not it will be a wasted trip there!

Oh and did I mention my iphone casing from Korea just arrived? Real pretty I love the bling blings! :)

P/S: Sorry dear about mentioning that. I will not anymore.
