Phuket, here I come!

Finally made a trip down with boy to the tour agency to book the trip to Phuket, Thailand amidst his very busy schedule.

So we ended up spending a few hundred dollars more because his company is unable to approve his leave until end April. But well, at least in the end his leave was approved. That's one great thing.

Settled for a trip to Phuket instead of my favorite Bangkok because apparently he felt unsecured about the safety issues there. Did not manage to book Taiwan because the accommodation and air tickets would be really damn pricey if we were to book it only now. Will be leaving on the 27th of May and coming back on the 30th. That is 4 days 3 nights. I hope we enjoyed ourselves there!

So I am officially broke now. I will be using up all the $600 that the government has given me for this trip, or maybe even more. :( And I still have other monetary issues to settle. No more tuition right now, ahhhhhh. Living with the mere allowance that I have every month.. when 1/3 of it is used for concession already. :(

A Close Shave

I thought I would like to share something really terrible that happened on Sunday.

I was going to upload LFDB's photos of the upcoming collection when I realized I was unable to sign into my personal Gmail account. I became quite frantic because it contains quite a lot of personal information especially my emails to my manufacturer etc. Boy then asked me to check my other accounts and I realised that I was unable to sign in to another of my hotmail account too! Got very worried and immediatedly I changed all my passwords and security questions for LaFemmeDaBelle's accounts as well as my school's account.

I then filled up a form that Gmail provided with the reason stating that "I think someone has taken over my account". I provided 5 email addresses that I frequently emailed too and then clicked 'Send'. It took only less than 5 minutes before I received a reply from Gmail that my password had been reset and I am able to log in once again. Kudos to the efficiency of Gmail! As for Hotmail, I must say either their system sux or their efficiency is zero. The last time my Hotmail account was hacked, there wasn't any replies from them. As for now, I cannot really be bothered with this account anymore. But still, I should close down this account.

After getting such a big scare, I received some mmses from Felicia and I felt much better after seeing what she sent me :)

Headed over to Malaysia during the weekends for movie and shopping since there's nothing much to do in Singapore nowadays. Lol!

Nail extensions almost 1 week and still going strong! In tip-top condition :) 

Boy and I are waiting for the launch of  this in Q3/Q4 of 2011. Location's really ideal so the price would definitely be pricey. But worth it since boy's first concern is the MRT Station and whether it is near town. This should be the one! :)

Nails with Shi Ning!

It's my first time having something done onto my nails so I would like to share my experience here. :)

I wasn't born with pretty long fingers. My fingers will quite fleshy and it's short. What makes it worse is that I am a nail biter, yes since young. I couldn't stop this bad habit even when I am already 23 years old now. And I am always trying to hide my fingers when people happen to see it. The habit just come when I am feeling nervous or when I am deep in thought. I have tried putting a kind of solution on my nails that has a very bitter taste but still nothing works for me. 

So I decided that perhaps it is time that I should spend a little money to stop this bad habit of mine. I booked an appointment with Shi Ning at her home-based nail salon and this time, it was gel extension! Because my nails were so short hence I can only do gel tip extension.

It's been 3 days now and the gel nails are still in very good condition, no chips etc. She warned me before that it might not last as long in my case since I have really short nails. Well, we shall see how long this can last then! :)

My verdict on gel nail extensions:

Good point - More pleasant and presentable looking nails

Bad point - Hard to wash hair!!!

My pre-order for my GEO Color Super Magic Series lenses! Super excited when my dad handed over the package to me.

Opened up immediately and checked that the orders were correct. A total of 3 pairs, 2 pairs for Selina while 1 pair for me. I got the brown one! :)

I spent my weekends doing my FYP Report at boy's place. Apparently whenever I tried to use my Mac Word, the format changes each time I opened in Microsoft Word or somehow something will happen when I tried to save it in PDF format. Being quite peeved by it, I had to do my report at boy's place. Spent my whole weekend editing the report, and finally I got to discover new results. I am not sure if my logic is reasonable but I hope my professor approves it when I show him my analysis this Wednesday! *Prays hard.

I am into page number 62 of my report now and it is 90% done. One last analysis and a final editing will put an end to this torturous project which had lasted for 9 months! Just want to get it over and done with. Booo, never ever ever take up an Industrial Sponsored Project!

A few days ago, a friend asked me if my Industrial Attachment company was good. I told him honestly that the pay is miserable and the working environment isn't as glamorous as what people would have thought. True  enough the name of the company sounds reputable but no.

You cannot judge a book by its cover.

Just came back from my photoshoot with Zoe at Hendra's. I must really say the studio he has is really good. The effect turns out much better here! But the only bad thing is the inconvenience of that place. I had to cab there and then back from the MRT Station. :(

Meet up with Fumin!

It's been one month since I met Fumin and I am really excited to meet her for a dinner date, at our usual favorite restaurant - Sakae Sushi Buffet! The youth rates are now only limited to under 21 years old and since we are past that age, we had to make do with the adult rates. $25 now as compared to $18 last time! What to do?

Boy ended work amazingly early today so I suggested he joined us for dinner and after which we can catch a movie together. Bought a pair of movie tickets at 9.40pm and off we went to Sakae Sushi at Park Mall. There was quite a bit of queue and we had to wait like almost 1 hour before we get a table. Fumin and I ordered our usual favorites and we chatted about her job, her career in future and some gossiping. The food was a little upsetting. The sushi's rice doesn't stick together and the taste wasn't there. Drop in standard. :(

Nevertheless I am really happy to meet up with her and we have even decided where our next dinner date would be! 2d1n SOJU BANG! I told her I am going to prepare a cloth and wrap my hair up the day we go there for our dinner, because I can never stand oily hair! Soooo looking forward to this. Fumin, set a date please!

It has been a rough time for me this week. So busy with everything. Wanted to find someone to talk to and listen to me but can't.

My FYP report is at page 50 right now, 70% done. My estimation is that it will reach 60 pages. But somehow or rather I feel that it is really a lousy piece of work. There are some things that I am unable to link up together. Although I know my 'smoking' skills for writing report is quite good, but this time round I am really unable to smoke anything through. The results I obtained just doesn't make any sense to me. So much so I feel like changing the results to suit what I think.

60 pages will be a piece of crap really. A whole lot of lousy work.

I can't believe I produced such a piece of masterpiece as my final year report.

To me, every other thing does not matter anymore.

I just want to graduate.

That's it.

I will be the happiest girl on earth the day I say goodbye to a university who has deprived me of my opportunities to succeed in life, and who has held me captive in a major I absolutely abhor for 4 years. I am amazed by how I manage to pull through for these 4 years, making sense of nothing from the numerous theories imparted by professors whose language are like some kind of alien language to us.

Thanks huh, NTU.

Livejournal DOWN!

I was just surfing the net and replying my formspring questions when I saw some regarding livejournal being down at the moment. Then I tried accessing my blogshop website and I got a shock! It says "Your IP address is blocked".  -.-

So how? My launch and advertisement is on this Friday and if this problem is not resolved by Thursday, how am I going to launch on time? There is no way I can change my launch date because my advertorial is fixed.

3 solutions I came up with:

1) Post on FaceBook

2) Post here, my blog

3) Create another temporary website using blogspot

Posting on Facebook sounds like a good idea but the only problem is, what about those who do not have a Facebook account? I am quite sure there are quite a few who do not have. And if I post on Facebook, how are the customers going to place their orders? It isn't good to ask them to leave a comment there because it is unscreened.

Posting here on my blog has another concern too. While I am able to screen the comments, but the problem is this is my personal blog. It means that I will have to send an email to my mailing listees and direct them here, which means that people will know about my blog. Is this good or bad? I am not sure.

Creating another temporary website using blogspot is out since it will take up too much of my time, and time is very important to me.

How how HOW?

Let's just pray that livejournal will be up by Thursday!

The Lion King!

The day for my second Christmas present has finally arrived! It was The Lion King musical at Marina Bay Sands. Very much excited about it because I have heard of the many praisings from people regarding this theatre show! :)

The day itself started off with an appointment with Louis for my hair coloring session. I needed a natural look and hence he recommended dark blonde for me. Dark blonde is actually brown in color. I am always into brown because I feel that it gives a more natural look!

Boy then drove me over to United Square where I collected and purchased the carton of envelopes which I had run out of. After that, it was over to Suntec  Convention Centre to get a bag for my DSLR! Found one with a better quality at a reasonable pricing of $29. Got a wired shutter remote control too since it's like only $9? Good for self-taking photos. Lol!

I was famished and so we headed over to Suntec City to have our dinner at Pho House. A Vietnamese restaurant again! Really love the chicken glass noodles they have.

Finally, dessert time at Sweet Sweet Tooth again! This time round it was Mango shavings. Really really taste good, and the mangoes were really sweet. This has got to be one of my favorite desserts although I am not very much into desserts!

Headed over to Marina Bay Sands after that and due to the full carpark at the Casino carpark, we were 15 minutes late for The Lion King Musical. :( But I must say, this musical really lives up to its name. If I am not wrong, it is an award-winning musical. It was full house and there was a live band with a conductor doing the music. The performers had really great vocals and I am very much amazed by the fantastic sound system in the MBS Theatre. Boy got the tickets for $118 per pax for this 2.5 hours of musical and we really enjoyed ourselves very much. Voyage De La Vie musical that we watched a few months back was really nothing as compared to this! Their great show won continuous applause from the audience! :)
